The health establishment holding the authorisation provided for in Article R. 6123-1 : 1° Contributes to the evaluation and development of knowledge of emergency medicine in order to improve the quality and safety of patient care ; 2° Contributes, in conjunction with the emergency care teaching centres set up where necessary to carry out the missions set out in article R. 6311-5, to the training of health professionals, ambulance drivers,…

The health establishment holding the authorisation provided for in article R. 6123-1 participates, according to its resources, in the work of drawing up and implementing the emergency organisation plans mentioned in articles L741-1 to L741-5 of the Internal Security Code. The SAMU and SMUR participate, at the request of the prefect, in the preparation and management of preventive medical cover for large gatherings of people.
