Subsection 2: Financial provisions.

All expenditure incurred for the upkeep of university buildings and for the purchase of furniture or instruments intended for teaching purposes, excluding any use for hospital purposes, is borne by the university. The university hospital centre is responsible for all expenditure relating to hospital activities. Insofar as the hospital centre uses the services of the training and research units for hospital purposes, it reimburses the university for the expenses incurred by them, under the conditions and at the intervals laid down in the agreement.

The university will pay, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the agreement, compensation for damage caused to the university hospital centre, its staff, patients and their visitors, either by students in the course of their university activities, or by staff under its authority in the course of their duties, or by any person participating in post-graduate teaching organised under its responsibility. The university hospital centre, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the agreement, is responsible for repairing any damage of any kind caused in the course of hospital activities to the training and research units concerned and to their students and staff. It may take out insurance to cover this risk.
