Subsection 3: Suspension or withdrawal of authorisation to practise as a liberal profession

The suspension of the authorisation to practise as a self-employed doctor provided for in article L. 6154-6 is pronounced by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency for a period which may not exceed two years.

The decision to suspend or withdraw the authorisation to practise on a freelance basis is notified by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency to the practitioner concerned and to the Director of the establishment to which the practitioner is assigned, by any means capable of establishing a date certain. Prior to any contentious proceedings, disputes relating to the decisions mentioned in article R. 6154-20 must be submitted to the Minister for Health within two months of notification.
