Subsection 2: Regional commission for liberal professions

The regional commission for private practice carries out the tasks set out in article L. 6154-5-1. The matter may be referred to this commission by a private practice commission of an establishment, or by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency.

The members of the Regional Commission for Private Practice are appointed for three years by the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. If they lose the capacity in which they were appointed, they are replaced under the same conditions of appointment for the remainder of their term of office. The Regional Commission for Private Practice is convened by its Chairman. The commission’s secretariat is provided by the regional health agency. Commission members are bound by medical and professional confidentiality and discretion. The Commission meets at least once a year and whenever a matter is referred to it by the authorities listed in article R. 6154-15.

Each year, the Regional Commission for Private Practice draws up a report on all its activities. The report is sent to the Director General of Healthcare Provision and to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. The general part of the report is made public.
