The chairmen of the Medical Commission and the Agency Committee may, on their own initiative or that of the full members of these bodies, ask to hear experts on a point on the agenda. Experts do not have the right to vote. They may only attend the part of the debates relating to the questions for which they are present, without being able to take part in the vote.

The Commission and the Committee shall be informed, within two months, by written communication from the Director of the Agency, of the action taken on their opinions or wishes.

The members of the Commission and the Committee shall be given every facility to carry out their duties. Documents required for the performance of their duties shall be sent to them at their request. Documents relating to items on the agenda for a meeting shall be sent to them at the latest at the same time as the agenda.

Commission and committee meetings are not open to the public. Persons participating in any capacity whatsoever in the work of the representative bodies are bound by the obligation of professional discretion in respect of documents of which they have knowledge in the course of that work.

Members of the representative bodies, persons attending meetings in an advisory capacity and experts called to meetings do not receive any compensation for their duties on these bodies. They shall, however, be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred on this occasion under the conditions laid down in the Agency’s internal regulations.

When the Commission and the Committee meet in joint formation under the conditions provided for in Article L. 6431-15, the agenda is set by mutual agreement between the two chairmen.
