Paragraph 2: Mobile emergency and resuscitation unit

The intervention team of the mobile emergency and resuscitation structure comprises at least one doctor, one nurse and one driver or pilot. The driver fulfils the conditions laid down in 1° of article R. 6312-7. The emergency medical service regulating doctor adapts the composition of the response team to the needs of the patient, if necessary taking into account the indications given by the doctor attending the patient.

During the inter-hospital transport mentioned in 2° of article R. 6123-15, the intervention team may, if the patient’s condition allows, be made up of two people, including the doctor mentioned in article D. 6124-13.

For the needs of the department, interns in medical or surgical specialities or psychiatric interns who have completed four semesters and have acquired training in emergency management through at least one year’s professional experience in emergency or intensive care may be called upon.

The emergency medical aid structure has in particular : 1° A room equipped with telecommunications allowing it to be in permanent contact with the SAMU and its own intervention teams; 2° When it has the means of medical transport mentioned in article D. 6124-12, a garage for these means of land transport and liaison vehicles; 3° A secure room for storing supplies of medical devices and medicines for urgent needs…
