Paragraph 3: Anaesthesia.

The table setting out the scheduling of operations is drawn up jointly by the doctors performing these operations, the anaesthetists concerned and the person responsible for organising the operating theatre, taking particular account of hygiene, safety and organisational requirements for the operation of the operating theatre, as well as the possibilities for post-intervention monitoring.

Anaesthesia is carried out on the basis of the anaesthetic strategy established in writing and implemented under the responsibility of an anaesthetist, taking into account the results of the pre-anaesthetic consultation and visit mentioned in article D. 6124-92. The means provided for in 2° of article D. 6124-91 enable the patient to benefit from : 1° Continuous clinical monitoring ; 2° anaesthetic and support equipment adapted to the anaesthetic strategy…

The means mentioned in 1° of article D. 6124-94 enable the following functions to be carried out for each patient: 1° Continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythm and electrocardioscopic tracing ; 2° Monitoring of blood pressure, either non-invasively or invasively, if the patient’s condition so requires.

The means mentioned in 2° of Article D. 6124-94 enable the following functions or procedures to be carried out for each patient: 1° The supply of medical fluids and vacuum suction ; 2° Administration of anaesthetic gases and vapours; 3° Anaesthesia and its maintenance; 4° Tracheal intubation ; 5° Artificial ventilation; 6° Continuous monitoring of : a) the flow of oxygen administered and the oxygen content of the gas mixture…
