Section 2: Determination of salary

The Prefect takes the decision provided for in the first paragraph of article L. 7422-6 with the assent of the departmental committee provided for in article R. 7422-1. He takes the decision provided for in the second paragraph of article L. 7422-6 on the simple advice of this committee.

Orders issued by the Prefect in accordance with articles L. 7422-6 and L. 7422-11 are published and inserted in the departmental administrative records within one month of the date on which they were issued. The hourly rates of pay applicable to the professions referred to in article L. 7422-7 are set by the Minister responsible for labour, after obtaining the opinion of: 1° Either the competent departmental committees referred to in article R. 7422-1 when several departments are involved; 2° Or the national wages committee when the entire country is involved.
