Subsection 3: Payment

Depending on the case, the body to which management has been entrusted, or the Agence de services et de paiement, or the President of the Regional Council, will set the amount of remuneration to be paid for the duration of the traineeship and will notify the trainee of its decision.

The remuneration of trainees, when paid by the State, is paid by the body entrusted with management or by the Agence de services et de paiement, as the case may be.

Remuneration due to full-time trainees is paid monthly in arrears. From the end of the first month of the traineeship giving entitlement to remuneration payable by the State, these trainees receive at least an advance payment, the amount of which is set by decree.

When the remuneration of trainees is determined by decree pursuant to articles L. 6341-7 and L. 6341-8, the advance payment may be made by the organisation or establishment mentioned in article R. 6341-39, before the trainee is notified of the decision provided for in article R. 6341-36.

The liquidation and payment of sums due to trainees at the end of a training period by way of balance of remuneration and, where applicable, compensation for paid leave, are carried out under the same conditions as the liquidation and payment of remuneration.

By way of derogation from the provisions of articles R. 6341-39 to R. 6341-42, the payment of remuneration payable by the State may be made by the training establishments or centres when they are subject to the administrative and financial control of the State. Remuneration paid to trainees and remuneration reimbursed to employers as well as, where applicable, sums paid in respect of social security contributions relating to such remuneration, are subject to deductions proportional to the duration of unjustified absences from training sessions.
