Section 4: Trades student card

The centre providing the apprentice’s training will issue the apprentice with a trade student card within thirty days of registration by the apprentice training centre. If the apprenticeship contract is terminated, the card is returned to the training establishment, which is responsible for destroying it.

The card enables apprentices to promote their specific status to third parties, particularly with a view to obtaining reduced fares where applicable. It is valid throughout France.

The trades student card contains the following information: On the front: – a photo of the holder, head uncovered; – the start and end dates of the course for which the card is issued; – the holder’s surname and first name; – the holder’s date of birth; – the holder’s signature; – the words: “Carte d’étudiant des métiers” and “This card is strictly personal”; – the logo of the Ministry…
