Chapter I: Purpose of policies to promote the employment of people with disabilities

In order to implement the policies on access to training and qualifications set out in article L. 5211-2, a multi-annual training programme guarantees a complete range of services for disabled people. This offer respects the possibility of free choice for these people while taking into account the analysis of needs and the proximity of training locations.

In application of Article L. 5211-4, the ordinary training bodies, those specially designed to compensate for the consequences of disability or to repair the harm done and the players mentioned in Article D. 6312-1 implement, as part of continuing vocational training, part-time or discontinuous reception, an adapted duration of training and adapted methods of validation of vocational training for the disabled persons mentioned in article L. 5212-13 of this code…

The adaptations mentioned in article D. 5211-2 may be individual or collective for a group of people with similar needs. They also relate to teaching methods and aids and may make use of information and communication technologies.

Adaptations are implemented on the basis of information provided by : 1° The disabled person ; 2° The public employment service; 3° The specialised placement organisations that support the disabled person in his or her access to employment; 4° The Commission for the Rights and Independence of Disabled People; 5° The organisations involved in drawing up the person’s social and professional integration project.

The adaptation of the validation of vocational training involves adjustments to the general arrangements for assessing the knowledge and skills acquired during training.

The bodies providing vocational training and the institutions awarding diplomas, professional titles or certificates of professional qualification will implement the adaptations, in particular by developing their own regulations.
