When the autonomous occupational health and prevention service brings together several establishments under an agreement, the agreement sets out in particular the procedures for managing the service and sharing the costs. The management of the service may be entrusted to one of the establishments party to the agreement.

The workforce to be taken into consideration for the organisation of the autonomous occupational health and prevention service is the physical workforce of all employees, including medical staff, employed in the establishment at 31 December of the last calendar year.

The characteristics to be met by the medical premises and their equipment are determined according to the size of the autonomous occupational health and prevention service, after consultation with the competent occupational physician and social and economic committee.

When the autonomous occupational health and prevention service groups together several establishments under an agreement, the total amount of expenditure is divided between the establishments concerned in proportion to the physical headcount of all the staff employed by each of them at 31 December of the last calendar year.

Autonomous occupational health and prevention services are not subject to the provisions of Articles D. 4622-48 to D. 4622-53 of this Code.
