Access routes to workers’ accommodation are maintained in such a way that they are passable and adequately lit.

The social and economic committees of the companies called upon to intervene on sites where it is planned to house workers, as well as the inter-company committee for safety, health and working conditions, are consulted on the planned installations.

The situations in which displaced workers are housed and fed close to the site are determined by the national collective agreements concerning these workers.

Employers are prohibited from allowing workers to lodge on land made available to them by the project owner, unless the accommodation occupied offers guarantees of hygiene corresponding at least to those provided for in this section.

The Labour Inspector may grant exemptions where the application of the measures provided for in this section is made difficult by the operating conditions of the site.
