Paragraph 4: Coordinator training and training body.

The duration and content of the training for coordinators and trainers are adapted to the level of competence required and the professional experience or qualifications of the candidates. At the end of the course, the trainee’s skills will be tested and a certificate of competence will be issued by the training organisation.

Admission to a coordinator or trainer training course is decided by the training organisation, after it has checked that the professional experience or diploma conditions have been met.

Reasons must be given for any refusal of admission to a training course for trainers. It may be the subject of a complaint, in the form and within the timeframe laid down in article R. 4723-1, to the Minister responsible for employment, who will give a ruling within the timeframe laid down in articles R. 4723-2 and R. 4723-3.

The training of coordinators provided for in articles R. 4532-25 and R. 4532-26 may be provided by the Organisme professionnel de prévention dans le bâtiment et les travaux publics and by training bodies certified, on the basis of a reference system guaranteeing that they meet the requirements arising from the present code, by a body benefiting for this purpose from accreditation issued by a body mentioned in the first paragraph…

Training for coordinators is provided in each body by trainers who meet the conditions laid down in Article R. 4532-30. However, for areas requiring specific skills, these organisations may call on other suitably qualified persons, provided that the number of hours allocated to them does not exceed half of the total number of hours in the training cycle.
