Subsection 1: Scope and definitions

The provisions of this section apply to: 1° Work involving the removal or encapsulation of asbestos and materials, equipment and materials or articles containing it, including demolition ; 2° Work on materials, equipment, materials or articles likely to cause the emission of asbestos fibres.

Independently of the provisions of this section, the work and interventions mentioned in article R. 4412-94 are subject to the provisions applicable to dangerous chemical agents, including the specific provisions relating to the prevention of the risks of exposure to carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic agents for reproduction in section II, with the exception of the exposure control provided for in articles R. 4412-27 to R. 4412-32 and R. 4412-76 to…
