The employer organises, in liaison with the social and economic committee and the occupational physician, safety information and training for workers likely to be exposed to carcinogens, mutagens or agents toxic to reproduction. This information and training concerns, in particular: 1° Potential health risks, including additional risks due to smoking; 2° Precautions to be taken to prevent exposure; 3° Hygiene requirements; 4° Wearing and use of protective equipment and clothing;…

Safety information and training are adapted to changes in risks and the emergence of new risks. They are repeated regularly. They promote the application of prevention rules in line with developments in knowledge and techniques.

Workers are informed of the potentially harmful effects of exposure to chemical substances on fertility, on the embryo in particular at the start of pregnancy, on the foetus and on the child in the event of breast-feeding. The employer shall inform workers of the presence of carcinogens, mutagens or agents toxic to reproduction in installations. He shall ensure that ancillary containers containing such agents are clearly and legibly labelled. The danger is indicated by any appropriate means.

Workers and members of the social and economic committee must be able to check that the provisions of this section are applied, in particular with regard to: 1° The health and safety consequences of the choice and use of protective clothing and equipment; 2° The measures taken for activities likely to significantly increase exposure mentioned in the first paragraph of Article R. 4412-75.

Workers and members of the social and economic committee, as well as the occupational physician, are informed as quickly as possible of abnormal exposures, including those mentioned in article R. 4412-75, their causes and the measures taken or to be taken to remedy them.

The information provided for in article R. 4412-86 is made available to the occupational physician, the labour inspectorate, the occupational health inspector and the agents of the prevention departments of the social security organisations.
