Subsection 5: Electrical and fire risks

The electrical installations of work equipment are made in such a way as to prevent risks of electrical origin, in accordance with the requirements laid down by order of the ministers responsible for labour and agriculture.

Work equipment using products or materials which emit gases, vapours, dust or other flammable waste must be fitted with protective devices to prevent a rise in the temperature of a component or sparks of electrical or mechanical origin from causing a fire or explosion.
