Work equipment is fitted with clearly identifiable and easily accessible devices enabling it to be isolated from each of its energy supply sources.
The separation of work equipment from its energy supply sources is achieved by the implementation of suitable means to enable operators working in hazardous areas to ensure this separation.
It must be possible to dissipate the energy accumulated in the work equipment easily, without compromising worker safety. Where it is not possible to dissipate the energy, the presence of this energy must be rendered non-hazardous by the use of suitable means made available to the operators.
