Section 2: Implementing provisions

Machinery and personal protective equipment subject to the relevant technical rules of Annexes I and II to this Title respectively, when designed and constructed in accordance with the standards listed in the collection of national standards, the references of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be deemed to satisfy the rules of the Annexes, dealt with by those standards.

In cases other than those mentioned in article R. 4311-12, a decree may make standards mandatory.
