Section 5: Health and safety signs and equipment

Where it is not possible, given the nature of the work, to avoid danger zones involving risks of falling persons or falling objects, and even in the case of one-off maintenance or repair activities, these zones are visibly marked. They are also marked by devices designed to prevent unauthorised workers from entering these areas.

When the contents transported by the pipes present a danger, the pipes are marked so that the nature of the contents transported can be determined.

Transparent doors are marked at eye level.

First-aid equipment is signposted.

Signs relating to health and safety at work comply with the characteristics determined by joint order of the ministers responsible for labour and agriculture. These provisions do not affect the use of signs relating to road, rail, river, sea and air traffic within the establishment.
