Section 4: Maintenance, servicing and checks

Workplace installations and technical and safety devices are maintained and checked at appropriate intervals. The employer shall inform the owner of any malfunction of a lift likely to affect the safety of persons and shall take the necessary measures to prohibit the use of the equipment until the malfunction has been remedied.

The work premises and annexes are regularly maintained and cleaned. They are kept free of clutter. The occupational physician and the social and economic committee issue an opinion on the measures to be taken to meet these obligations.

When the company leaves the premises, the employer returns the workplace maintenance file to the owner or passes it on to the next occupant.
