Section 2: Thermal environment

Enclosed work areas are heated during the cold season. The heating is operated in such a way as to maintain a suitable temperature and not to give rise to any noxious fumes.

The temperature of ancillary rooms, such as catering rooms, rest rooms, rooms for workers on duty, sanitary rooms and first aid rooms, depends on the specific purpose of these rooms.

After consulting the occupational physician and the social and economic committee, the employer shall take all necessary steps to ensure that workers are protected against the cold and bad weather.
