Section 3: Loading bays and ramps

The provisions of articles R. 4214-9 to R. 4214-12 also apply to the company’s external loading bays.

The dimensions of the loads likely to be transported are taken into account in the design and layout of loading bays and ramps.

Loading bays have at least one exit. If they are longer than 20 metres, they have an exit at each end.

Loading ramps and loading bays are laid out and equipped in such a way as to prevent workers from falling.
