Section 1: Scope and definitions

The provisions of this Title determine, pursuant to Article L. 4211-1, the rules to be complied with by the client undertaking the construction or fitting out of buildings intended to accommodate workers, whether or not such operations require a building permit.

For the purposes of this Title, “workplaces” means places intended to accommodate workstations, whether or not located in the buildings of the establishment, and any other place within the area of the establishment to which the worker has access in the course of his work.
