Subsection 2: Organisation and operation

The Commission nationale des titres-restaurant includes representatives of employers’ and employees’ organisations, restaurant owners’ and fruit and vegetable retailers’ unions, and companies whose main activity is issuing meal vouchers.

The composition and operation of the commission are determined by a joint order of the ministers responsible for labour and the economy and finance.

Commission members are not remunerated.

The secretariat of the Commission is provided by the services of the Minister for the Economy and Finance. The Secretary General is appointed in agreement with the Minister for Labour.

The commission is assisted by one or more chartered accountants appointed, on its proposal, by joint order of the ministers responsible for labour and the economy and finance.

The Commission may set up advisory committees in a département or group of départements, whose membership is similar to its own.
