When the licence to practice or the declaration of provision of services is issued, the pharmacy technician must have the language skills required to practice the profession and the knowledge of the systems of weights and measures used in France. The language proficiency test must be proportionate to the activity to be carried out and must be carried out once the professional qualification has been recognised.

Any person holding a diploma, certificate or qualification awarded following training which has enabled them to acquire the skills required to practise this profession and which is included on a list drawn up by the ministers responsible for health and higher education may practise the profession of hospital pharmacy assistant in public health establishments, army hospitals and other elements of the army health service and bear the title of hospital…

The committee referred to inarticle L. 4241-6 is responsible for applying articles L. 4241-7, L. 4241-11, L. 4241-14 and L. 4241-16.

The following are determined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat: 1° Where necessary, the terms and conditions of practice and professional rules ; 2° The operation of the commission referred to in articles L. 4241-7 and L. 4241-14 and the conditions under which the person concerned is subject to a compensation measure; 3° The procedures for verifying the professional qualifications referred to in articles L. 4241-11 and L. 4241-16.
