Section 2: Some specific time limits and starting points.

A liability action against persons who have represented or assisted the parties in court, including for the loss or destruction of documents entrusted to them, shall be barred after five years from the end of their assignment.

A liability action seeking compensation for ecological damage redressable under Chapter III of Subtitle II of Title III of this Book shall be barred after ten years from the day on which the holder of the action knew or ought to have known of the manifestation of the ecological damage.

The right of ownership is imprescriptible. Subject to this reservation, actions in rem in immovable property are prescribed by thirty years from the day on which the holder of a right knew or should have known the facts enabling him to exercise it.
