Article R1111-1-C of the French General Code of Local Authorities

When the deliberation referred to in article R. 1111-1-B provides for the persons exercising these functions to receive compensation, this compensation shall take the form of holiday allowances, the amount of which may not exceed a ceiling set by order of the Minister responsible for local authorities. It may also provide for the reimbursement of their travel and accommodation expenses under the conditions applicable to local civil service staff.
