Subsection 1: Appointment of heads of division

In hospitals and university hospital centres, the heads of departments are appointed for a renewable period of four years.

In the interests of the service, the duties of the head of the department may be terminated by a joint decision of the director and the chairman of the hospital medical committee, after consulting, in the case of university hospitals, the director of the medical training and research unit and the chairman of the medical education coordination committee.
