Subsection 3: Authorisation to practise for holders of evidence of formal qualifications as a midwife obtained in the province of Quebec

The Conseil national de l’ordre acknowledges receipt of the application for authorisation to practise as a midwife submitted by a person holding evidence of formal qualifications as a midwife obtained in the province of Quebec within one month of receipt. The traineeship is the subject of an assessment report, the model for which is laid down by order of the Minister for Health. The report is sent without delay to the Conseil national de l’ordre des sages-femmes, with a copy to the person concerned.

The Conseil national de l’ordre will forward the complete application, together with its opinion, to the Minister for Health, who will decide on the application for authorisation to practise.
