Healthcare-associated infections contracted in a healthcare establishment are known as nosocomial infections.
The action programme mentioned in articles L. 6144-1 and L. 6161-2 includes a section on measures to be implemented to combat nosocomial infections. In order to ensure its implementation, an operational hygiene team is set up within each establishment, made up of medical or pharmaceutical staff and nursing staff appointed by the legal representative of the establishment after consultation with the chairman of the establishment’s medical committee in public health…
A report on activities to combat nosocomial infections is drawn up by the operational hygiene team in accordance with a model defined by order of the Minister for Health.
