The election of executive councillors may be contested under the conditions, in the forms and within the time limits prescribed for contesting the election of councillors to the Assembly of Martinique.
In the event of the death or resignation of one or more Executive Councillors other than the President, the Assembly shall hold a new election to fill the vacant seat or seats within a period of one month. In the event of the seat of President of the Executive Council of Martinique becoming vacant for any reason whatsoever, its functions shall be temporarily exercised by an Executive Councillor, in the order of election.
