Section 5: Liability of the local authority in the event of an accident

The territorial authority of Martinique is liable, under the conditions set out in article L. 2123-31, accidents suffered by councillors to the Assembly of Martinique and members of the Executive Council in the performance of their duties.

When the elected representatives mentioned in article L. 7227-34 are victims of an accident occurring in the performance of their duties, the territorial collectivity of Martinique shall pay directly to practitioners, pharmacists, medical auxiliaries, suppliers and establishments the amount of benefits relating to this accident calculated according to the rates applied in health insurance matters.
