Section 3: Occupational medicine interns.

Occupational health and prevention services may be approved, under the conditions set out in article L. 632-5 of the Education Code, as out-of-hospital organisations hosting trainees enrolled in the specialised occupational medicine studies diploma or students enrolled in the second cycle of medical studies.

An occupational medicine intern is subject to the provisions relating to the internship system determined in application of article L. 6153-1 of the public health code and to the organisation of the third cycle of medical studies determined in application of article L. 632-2 of the Education Code.

The following may be authorised to practice occupational medicine to replace an occupational physician who is temporarily absent: an intern in occupational medicine with the level of training required by article L. 4131-2 of the public health code and authorised by the departmental council of the order of physicians under the conditions laid down by this same article.
