Any operation relating to the processing is recorded, including the identification of the user, the date, the time and the nature of the action. This information is kept for a period of three years.

The national platform for judicial interception is implemented by a department with national competence reporting to the Minister of Justice, called the “Agence nationale des techniques d’enquêtes numériques judiciaires” (National Agency for Judicial Digital Investigation Techniques). The magistrates, civil servants and agents of this ministry responsible for the operation, maintenance and upkeep of the national platform for judicial interception as well as the persons to whom services detachable from the judicial purposes of the processing may be entrusted by contract are authorised at Secret level. They are subject to professional secrecy under the conditions and penalties set out in article 226-13 of the Criminal Code.

The national platform for judicial interception is placed under the control of a qualified personality, appointed for a non-renewable period of five years by order of the Minister of Justice, and assisted by a committee of five members.
