The compliance officer has direct access to the declarations of interest filed on the dedicated website. When declarations of interest are not filed on the dedicated website, they are given to the compliance officer.

I.-The compliance officer shall ensure that the authority or body to which he is appointed takes the appropriate measures to ensure that the declarations of interest of the persons subject to the obligation are collected and that the links mentioned therein are analysed. In the event of difficulty in obtaining a response from the persons mentioned in articles L. 1451-1 and L. 1452-3 to the requests for information that he addresses to them, the compliance officer shall immediately inform the person who appointed him.

Where the authority or body has an ethics committee, the report referred to in the second paragraph of II of article L. 1451-4 shall take account of the opinions, recommendations and reports drawn up by this committee.

The compliance officer is bound by professional secrecy and discretion under the same conditions as those defined in article 26 of law no. 83-634 of 13 July 1983 on the rights and obligations of civil servants.
