Subsection 3: Electrical installations and precautions against static electricity

Article R4462-23 of the French Labour Code

All buildings where pyrotechnic activities are carried out are deemed to be premises or locations exposed to fire risks within the meaning of article R. 4215-12. In the case of an explosive atmosphere, they are also deemed to be exposed to explosion risks within the meaning of the same article. No overhead power lines with bare conductors may overhang the installations of the pyrotechnic enclosure.

Article R4462-24 of the French Labour Code

The electrical installation in each building or premises where pyrotechnic activities are carried out must include a device enabling the power supply to the building or premises to be cut off in an emergency. The operating mechanism for this device is located outside and close to the building or premises. This device must be easily recognisable and easily accessible.
