Subsection 2: Company nurses.

In industrial establishments with between 200 and 800 employees, there is at least one nurse and, above this number, one additional nurse for every 600 employees. In other establishments with between 500 and 1,000 employees, there is at least one nurse, and one additional nurse per 1,000 employees.

In industrial establishments with fewer than 200 employees and in other establishments with fewer than 500 employees, a nurse is present if the occupational physician and the social and economic committee so request. If the employer contests the request, the decision is taken by the labour inspector after consulting the labour inspector.

The nurse carries out the occupational health tasks assigned to him/her by this code or delegated under the conditions provided for in article R. 4623-14 under the authority of the company occupational physician in the case of autonomous occupational health and prevention services or under that of the occupational physician of the inter-company occupational health and prevention service operating in the company.
