Subsection 4: Provisions relating to Mayotte

Section 2 of Chapter III of Title II of Book I of this Part applies to Mayotte subject to the provisions of this sub-section.

I. 2° of article R. 6123-3-2 and articles R. 6123-3-3, R. 6123-3-4 and R. 6123-3-10 are not applicable to Mayotte. II – For the application of article R. 6123-3-9 in Mayotte, the words: “national and” are deleted.

In addition to the powers devolved to the regional committee by articles R. 6123-3 to R. 6123-3-2, the Mayotte committee is responsible for: 1° Issuing an opinion on the regional charter or plan for preventing and combating illiteracy drawn up under the aegis of the Prefect and the President of the Mayotte Departmental Council; 2° Examining any issue relating to mobile employment and vocational training.

After the third paragraph of III of Article R. 6123-3, the following provisions are added: “3° Each year, the activities of the Overseas Agency for Mobility and Adapted Military Service in the local authority; “4° Each year, a report on the activities of the Mayotte Departmental Council in terms of assistance with social and professional integration; “5° Each year, by the relevant State departments, the data relating to the overseas…
