Section 2: Regional committees for working conditions

A regional working conditions steering committee is attached to each State representative in the region. It is involved in drawing up and monitoring regional public policies on health, safety at work and working conditions, and in coordinating the players involved at regional level.

Within the regional working conditions steering committee, the regional occupational health and prevention committee is made up of representatives of the State, the regional occupational health and retirement insurance fund, the regional network of agricultural social security funds, representative employers’ organisations at national and cross-industry level and representative employees’ trade unions at national and cross-industry level. A decree in the Conseil d’Etat determines the organisation, tasks, composition and operation of the regional committee for the orientation of working conditions and the regional committee for prevention and health at work.
