Subsection 3: Doctors and pharmacists practising in university hospital centres

The Minister for Health and the Minister for Higher Education and Research may, after obtaining the opinion of the committee referred to in Article L. 6213-12, in its formation provided for in Article R. 6213-19, individually authorise the persons referred to in Article L. 6213-2-1 who so request to practise as medical biologists in the field of specialisation corresponding to the mixed or biological discipline in which they were recruited.

The application for authorisation referred to in Article R. 6213-8 must be sent to the national management centre by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, accompanied by a dossier, the composition of which is set by an order of the Minister for Health. The national management centre acknowledges receipt of the application within one month of its receipt.

Failure by the Minister for Health and the Minister for Higher Education and Research to respond within four months of acknowledgement of receipt of an application for authorisation will be deemed to constitute rejection.
