Subsection 2: Director or deputy director of a national reference centre for communicable diseases

The Minister for Health may, after obtaining the opinion of the committee referred to in article L. 6213-12, in its formation provided for in article R. 6213-19, individually authorise the persons referred to in 3° of article L. 6213-2, who do not meet the conditions laid down in article L. 6213-1 or in 1° of article L. 6213-2 and who so request, to practise as medical biologists. The application for authorisation referred to in Article R. 6213-5 must be sent to the national management centre by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, accompanied by a dossier, the composition of which is set by an order of the Minister for Health. The national management centre acknowledges receipt of the application within one month of its receipt.

If the Minister for Health fails to respond within four months of receiving the complete application, the authorisation application will be rejected.
