Subsection 1: Procedure for recognition of a field of specialisation

The application for recognition, provided for in 1° of Article L. 6213-2, is submitted by a person who, for two of the last ten years, has practised medical biology, under the conditions provided for in the aforementioned 1°, in only one area of specialisation, when the recognition of this specialisation does not result from a decision taken by a competent authority. The request for recognition is sent to the national management centre by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, accompanied by a file, the composition of which is set by an order of the minister responsible for health. The national management centre will acknowledge receipt of the application within one month of its receipt.

The application for recognition is submitted to the committee referred to in article R. 6213-15.

If the Minister for Health fails to respond within four months of receiving the complete application, the application for recognition will be rejected.
