Section 2: Drawing up the plan

The competent administrative authority of the State informs the president of the regional council, with a view to the debate within the territorial conference on public action provided for in article L. 4251-4 as well as throughout the preparation procedure, all the information available to it which is necessary for the region to exercise its powers. The deliberation of the regional council setting the procedures for drawing up the plan provided for in article L. 4251-4 specifies the period within which the persons mentioned in 3° to 6° of I of Article L. 4251-5 formulate proposals relating to the general rules of the draft outline plan.

The president of the regional council shall immediately forward the plan adopted by the regional council to the regional prefect. Within three months of receiving the adopted plan, the regional prefect shall approve it or notify the region of any amendments to be made. .
