I.- Subject to the provisions of article L. 4061-1, persons who have obtained the evidence of formal qualifications or authorisation required to practise the profession of medical physicist, prior to their entry into the profession, as well as those who, not practising, obtained their evidence of formal qualifications less than three years ago, are required to register with the service or body designated for this purpose by the Minister responsible…

Bodies issuing evidence of formal qualifications shall send such evidence to the service or body referred to in Article L. 4251-3 in the form of certified information. Where available, this certified information serves as supporting documents for the fulfilment of the obligations laid down in article L. 4251-3.

The medical physicist, when the authorisation to practise or the declaration of provision of services is issued, must have the language skills necessary to practise the profession and those relating to the systems of weights and measures used in France. The language proficiency test must be proportionate to the activity to be performed and must be carried out once the professional qualification has been recognised.

The following shall be determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat: 1° Where necessary, the terms and conditions of practice and professional rules; 2° The composition and operation of the commission referred to in article L. 4251-5 and the conditions under which the person concerned is subject to a compensation measure; 3° The terms and conditions for organising the aptitude test referred to in article L. 4251-6.
