Subsection 1a: Use of the account for a professional retraining project

The professional retraining project mentioned in 4° of the I of article L. 4163-7 is supported by one of the operators financed by the institution mentioned in article L. 6123-5 as part of the professional development advice mentioned in article L. 6111-6. This operator informs and guides the employee and helps him to formalise his project.

The regional joint inter-professional committees referred to in article L. 6323-17-6 are responsible for examining and providing administrative and financial support for professional retraining projects, under conditions set by decree.

Employees with a professional prevention account may ask their employer for professional retraining leave, under conditions specified by decree, in order to follow all or some of the training courses included in their professional retraining project.

The period of vocational retraining leave is treated as a period of actual work for the purposes of determining the employee’s seniority rights. The employee retains the benefit of all the advantages he had acquired before the start of the leave.
