Section 2: Opening and funding of the occupational prevention account

Employees of private-law employers, employees governed by a special status and staff of public bodies employed under private-law conditions may acquire rights under a professional prevention account, under the conditions defined in this chapter. The professional prevention account is opened as soon as an employee has acquired rights under the conditions defined in this chapter. The rights built up in the account remain with the employee until they are liquidated or until he is admitted to retirement. Points are awarded on the basis of the employee’s exposure declared by the employer, on the basis of the declaration mentioned in article L. 4163-1, to the fund mentioned in articles L. 215-1, L. 222-1-1 or L. 752-4 of the Social Security Code or inarticle L. 723-2 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code to which the employee is subject.
