Subsection 1: Scope of application

I.-The provisions of this section apply to any employer likely to entrust a worker during a radiological emergency situation referred to in Article L. 1333-3 of the Public Health Code with the implementation of actions intended to : 1° Prevent or reduce a risk associated with such a situation ; 2° Contribute to the continued operation of a non-interruptible activity of strategic importance. A worker intervening in an emergency situation is any worker who has been entrusted with one of the actions mentioned in Article R. 4451-96. These actions may not be entrusted to a pregnant or breastfeeding woman or to a young worker.
