Subsection 8: Medical devices and radiopharmaceuticals

Any medical device exposing patients to ionising radiation complies with the regulatory provisions adopted in application of Article L. 5212-1. Medicinal products and radiopharmaceuticals are used in accordance with Article L. 5121-1 et seq.

The use of radioscopy equipment without an automatic dose rate control device or without an image intensifier or equivalent device is prohibited.

The information concerning medical devices emitting ionising radiation provided for in article L. 1333-25 is sent by suppliers, where applicable, by electronic means, to the purchaser of the medical device.
