Article R4451-52 of the French Labour Code

Prior to assignment to the workstation, the employer shall assess the individual exposure of workers: 1° Accessing areas defined under Articles R. 4451-24 and R. 4451-28; 2° Crew members on board aircraft and spacecraft in flight; 3° Involved in operations involving the transport of radioactive substances; 4° Worker in a situation of long-term exposure resulting from a radiological emergency.

Article R4451-54 of the French Labour Code

The employer shall forward the prior individual assessment to the occupational physician when he proposes that the worker be classified under Article R. 4451-57 or when he establishes that the worker is likely to receive, in the course of performing the occupational activities referred to in 4° of Article R. 4451-1, an effective dose in excess of 6 millisieverts solely as a result of exposure to radon.
